Why I Speak on Stage: A Divine Calling

Companionship

“Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.

Colossians 4:6

The stage is my sacred platform, a place where I can share wisdom, inspire hearts, and forge connections with my audience. But why do I speak on stage? Colossians 4:6 provides a profound answer: “Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.”

Gracious Speech
I speak on stage because I believe in the power of gracious speech. It’s not about empty words or grandeur, but about kindness, compassion, and understanding. Every speech I deliver is an opportunity to uplift, encourage, and edify those who listen. I speak to offer a message of hope and inspiration, to remind others that kindness and grace can illuminate even the darkest paths.

Seasoned with Salt
My words are seasoned with salt, a metaphor for wisdom and truth. Salt enhances the flavor of food, just as wisdom enhances the minds and hearts of my audience. I speak to share insights that are not just palatable but deeply enriching. I believe that through wisdom, we can navigate the complexities of life, find solutions to our challenges, and discover the depth of our potential.

The Holy Spirit’s Touch
How can I tell when the Holy Spirit washes over me during my speeches? It’s an indescribable sensation, a profound knowing that my words are guided by a higher wisdom. When the Holy Spirit touches me, I feel a connection to something greater than myself. It’s as if I’m a vessel, and my words are divinely inspired. I speak with clarity, conviction, and compassion. I sense that I’m not alone on that stage; I am accompanied by a divine presence that infuses every word I utter.

Tailoring Wisdom to Hearts
Colossians 4:6 reminds me to answer each person appropriately. When the Holy Spirit guides me, I have the discernment to tailor my words to the unique needs and questions of my audience. I speak to engage, to connect, and to provide meaningful answers to the questions that linger in people’s hearts. My goal is not to impress but to impact, to leave a lasting imprint on the hearts and minds of those who listen.

Dear Heavenly Father,

As I embark on this journey of speaking on stage, I come before You with a heart filled with gratitude and reverence. I recognize that it’s a divine calling to share wisdom, inspire hearts, and connect with my audience.

Grant me the grace to speak with kindness, compassion, and understanding. May my words be seasoned with the wisdom that comes from Your eternal truth. Let the touch of the Holy Spirit guide my words, infusing them with divine wisdom and insight.

Help me to answer each person appropriately, tailoring my words to their unique needs and questions. May my speeches be a source of inspiration and transformation, leaving a lasting impact on the hearts and minds of those who listen.

In the name of Jesus, who spoke with divine wisdom and grace, I offer this prayer.

Amen.

May this prayer accompany you on your journey of speaking on stage, helping you draw closer to the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit and the profound impact your words can have on others.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

As I embark on this sacred journey of speaking on stage, I come before You with a heart filled with gratitude and reverence. I recognize that it’s a divine calling to share wisdom, inspire hearts, and connect with my audience.

Grant me the grace to speak with kindness, compassion, and understanding. May my words be seasoned with the wisdom that flows from Your eternal truth. Let the touch of the Holy Spirit guide my words, infusing them with divine wisdom and insight.

Help me to answer each person appropriately, tailoring my words to their unique needs and questions. May my speeches be more than words; may they be conduits of transformation, leaving a lasting impact on the hearts and minds of those who listen.

Lord, in those moments, when I step onto the stage, may I feel Your presence wash over me, reassuring me that I am not alone in this endeavor. Allow me to speak with clarity, conviction, and compassion, knowing that You are with me, guiding every word I utter.

In the midst of applause and accolades, keep me humble, reminding me that this gift of speech is not mine alone but a divine blessing entrusted to me. May I use it for Your glory, to uplift and inspire, and to touch the lives of others.

In the name of Jesus, who spoke with divine wisdom and grace, I offer this prayer. May my journey on stage be a testament to Your grace and the transformative power of Your word.

Amen.
